Posting some Textual Thoughts

I think I’ve always been sort of bad about posting text with my images…for some reason I think that anything I could have to say about the art is just silly and unimportant, but I always admire people who can do a blog post with lots of text too! I always like to hear about the process, what the thoughts that go into it are and the context it was made.

Writing just always seem to be really hard to me. Anything that I could write with the image or post always just seemed obvious or boring. On the other hand, I pitch my work at the studio all the time and I’m decent at it, so I don’t know why it’s so hard to talk about stuff on the blog…maybe it’s because my personal art is less thought out than my work at the studio.

When I do personal work, I don’t usually do the things you are supposed to do, like thumbnail, design whatever it is i’m drawing/painting…etc etc. But at work, I do all of those things. I do it because it’s easier to decompress with work that comes naturally on my own time, maybe that’s why its harder to talk?

Anyways, this is just a small post to see if I can test writing more, and talking about my artwork. That will be one of my new resolutions for this year! Writing in my posts! WHOO!
